Common questions
My reminders aren’t showing up
- Open Settings › Notifications › Dosebird and make sure Allow Notifications is on, with Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners enabled.
- Check Focus modes (Settings › Focus). If a Focus like Sleep or Do Not Disturb is on, add Dosebird under Allowed Notifications › Apps, or turn on Time Sensitive Notifications.
- If you use Scheduled Summary, Dosebird alerts may be held for the summary. Set Dosebird to Immediate Delivery in its notification settings.
- Open Dosebird and confirm your dose schedule and reminder time are correct. If you recently changed time zones, review the reminder time.
- Still nothing? Restart your iPhone and open Dosebird once so reminders can be rescheduled.
Moving to a new iPhone
Dosebird syncs through your own private iCloud, so there’s no account to sign in to.
- On your old iPhone, make sure you’re signed in to iCloud and that iCloud is enabled for Dosebird (Settings › [your name] › iCloud). An iCloud Backup also helps.
- Open Dosebird on the old phone while connected to Wi-Fi so the latest changes sync.
- On the new iPhone, sign in with the same Apple Account, restore from your iCloud backup or install Dosebird from the App Store, and open it. Your data will sync down. This can take a few minutes.
- For extra peace of mind, export your data before switching.
Exporting your data
In Dosebird, go to the Settings tab and choose Export Data. Pick a format and use the share sheet to save the file to Files, AirDrop it, or send it to your doctor. Your export stays under your control, and we never receive a copy.
Apple Health permissions
- To change what Dosebird can read or write, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps (or Privacy › Apps), and select Dosebird. You can also go to Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Dosebird.
- Turn individual categories (like Weight or Water) on or off. Dosebird keeps working if you deny access. It just won’t sync those items.
- If you denied access earlier, iOS won’t ask again automatically. Turn it on in the settings above.
Requesting a refund for a tip
Tips are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple as well. We can’t issue refunds directly.
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
- Tap I’d like to and choose Request a refund.
- Choose a reason, select the Dosebird tip, and submit.
Tips don’t unlock anything, so nothing in the app changes if a tip is refunded.
Is anything locked behind a payment?
No. Every feature is free for everyone, forever. See our free forever promise.
